MB850 Breakout @ Schramm

Major Contractor implements MakorBreak
Metzke is pleased with the recent award for supply of MakorBreak tools to a leading Exploration Drilling Company.
The MakorBreak will be implemented across their entire fleet, with the first 15 units already supplied and soon to be working in the field.
The MakorBreak remains as the only breakout tool recognised for its third party testing and safety rating.

METZKE SPLITTER™
THE LATEST IN DRILL SAMPLING TECHNOLOGY
Over the last 5 years Metzke has been developing a new style of drill sampling splitter that produces samples that are far more accurate and repeatable than others available to the market.
Most splitters will split correctly if the material being fed flows consistently and is distributed evenly into the splitter. In the real world there is rarely a consistent or homogeneous feed, so splitters are susceptible to producing inconsistent samples.
The Metzke Splitter;
Assumes that the sample feed into the splitter is biased, and uses a patented oscillating distributor to distribute the material evenly over the sample cutters.
Will run at up to 300 rpm safely, producing up to 10 times more cuts per sample interval than existing splitters. The oscillating mechanism promotes the flow of material from the drop box, speeding up the sample process.
Works equally well in dry or wet sampling
Boasts a self-cleaning device preventing sample hang up, drastically reducing lost production time when compared to other splitters.
Is configured with three sample chutes. Two on opposite sides of the splitter for the collection of primary and duplicate samples – the aperture on these is adjustable from 3 – 15% and controlled by a scissored mechanism such that the aperture is identical for each. A third independently variable sample chute, between the primary and duplicate sample chutes allows for an additional "geological" sample to be taken if required.
