26/10/09 - Metzke supplies cubex QXR 920 with a 1200CFM sampling system for Massdrill and Blast.
Metzke recently designed and fitted a complete 1200CFM Sampling System to a Cubex QXR 920.
Complete with hydraulic adjustment enabling the sampling system to rotate and move forward and back, it provides an accurate leveling ability in uneven pad situations. The system, controlled by remote hand held console connected by umbilical cord, allows operation of the sampling system safely and effectively. The Sampling System is complete with an Adjustable Cone Splitter and Transition for easy interchange of splitter types.
20/07/09 - Swick Mining Services take delivery of two Metzke Sample Trailers
Swick Mining has made addition to their ever growing fleet of advanced drilling machines and ancillary equipment by purchasing two Metzke Sample Trailer units. As Ryan O Sullivan; Australian Operations Manager from Swick Mining puts it “the Metzke Sample Trailer is a quality finished product that will prove equally as good in the field. We have two units going to Telfer for Newcrest and we are looking forward to seeing them in operation”. He said “We are equally as excited to show to our client our commitment to ensuring sample quality, reliability of our equipment and above all to provide a safe working environment”
The Metzke Sample trailer features a 1200CFM Cyclone and transition allowing the operator the choice of using either a Riffle or Cone Splitter, a 1800 CFM Dust Collector unit fitted with a pre cleaner before the inlet to reduce dust load on filters and to the protect filters from direct water ingress and 4 hydraulic jack legs for leveling the unit when in operation. All of which is connected to the rig through a 15 meter umbilical hose assembly and is mounted on a heavy duty dual axle trailer fitted with electric brakes enabling the unit to be road licensed.
Allowing provision for sampling systems with dust suppression on trailers provides drilling companies with a safety conscious option when deciding on the equipment requirements. Some jobs may require these sorts of sampling set-ups particularly those where dust is an issue and the Metzke designed system is an ideal top quality system specifically designed to cater for exploration drilling contractors.

27/02/09 - Metzke has completed the new HSS12 Slips/Breakout Table.
An integrated system ideal for semiautomated breaking-out of tool joints. It features slips blocks to handle from 4" up to a maximum 12" opening, automated hydraulic wrench with height adjustment plus a breakout spanner located above the slips blocks for seamless breaking out of tool joints.
